Tooth Bleaching
Tooth bleaching is an ideal cosmetic solution for teeth with color change due to different reasons. Smoking, excessive comsumption of tea, coffee and fizzy drinks such as cola, old fillings, prosthesis or crowns, antibiotic intake or excessive consumption of flüoride lead to stains on teeth.
Bleaching removes the stain on teeth and the teeth regains their natural appearance. When oral hygene is understimated, the natural colour of the teeth is rapidly lost.
Bleaching is performed using two different methods:
Home Type Tooth Bleaching
The plaques specifically prepared by the dentist for the patient, are used by the patiwnt itself. The dentist prepares the plaques according to the sizes obtained from the patient. The patient is informed by the dentist about the amount of the bleaching gel to put on the plaques. The patient uses these plaques at an average of 5-7 hours daily. Usually, the plaques are recommended to be used during night sleep. The planned colour is reached at an average of 5-7 days.
Office Type Tooth Bleaching
Office type bleaching is performed clinically by the dentist. It provides a more rapid outcome than home type bleaching. It takes an average of 1–1,5 hours. Additional sessions may be planned according to the advice of the dentist.
